"As a Member Knight of the Royal Order of Caritas, I affirm that I will uphold the highest principles in all my endeavours. I will uphold the virtues of charity, justice, sagacity, prudence, resolution, truth, liberality, deligence, hope and valour. To the best of my ability I will; Protect the weak and defenceless; Refrain from wanton giving of offence; Live by honour and integrity; Give succour to the poor and those in need; Despise pecuniary award; Work for the welfare of all; Eschew unfairness, meaness and deceit; Speak the truth at all times; And to persevere to the end any enterprise undertaken and to honour fellow Member Knights of the Order".
