Diplomacy
The Prinicpality of Paulovia welcomes contact with all non-extreme micronations for peaceful and constructive exchanges and micronational co-operation. The optional exchange of symbolic virtual embassies or consulates is welcomed by the Paulovian Government. Mark your email subject as 'Diplomacy' and send to the Embassy. Recognition and Statehood Formal recognition of Paulovia by foreign micronations is not a requirement to substantiate our sovereignty as an independent state. Conversely, foreign micronations need not seek recognition by Paulovia to confirm their own sovereignty. Statehood is de facto according to the theory of Declarative Statehood as defined by the articles of the Montivideo Convention (1933); the European Union (Badinter Committee, 1991); and the Foreign Ministry of the Swiss Confederation (2005). Under these articles Paulovia considers it unecessary to enter into recognition treaties with other states. Sovereignty For clarification of our status under Declarative Statehood and further information, please refer to our Sovereignty page. |
