Miraggio Islands

Miraggio Island is the second major centre for economic and cultural life in Paulovia. The island boasts some of the finest vineyards in the country which contributes much to Paulovian life and export earnings. Along with Omorfee and Andreas Islands, olives and olive oil production form a major cash crop for the many organic farmers and small holders. Mirragio has an Italian character and this is reflected in the islanders outlook on life, their attitude to food and their love of life.

Agriculture is the backbone of island life and the Miraggians are famous for their hardiness and spirit and for their ability to party into the night! Along with small scale fishing and some light engineering work in the island capital of Mira, young Miraggians are apt to travel to Omorfee or the mainland for work and better wages. Some of the best recruits for the the ceremonial Regia Evzone or Royal Guard come from Miraggio.

Contact with the world is maintained through regular ferry services to Omorfee and the Italian and Greek mainlands. Most of the island's produce is sent direct to Port Opulenza in Omorfee for export or for domestic consumption. Some comfortable hotels are situated near Mira and tourists are made welcome wherever they travel on this island. His Royal Highness Prince Paul also enjoys Mirragian life and has a small residence on the island.

Honorary Citizens are permitted to register their Residency on the islands of Miraggio, Malavoglia, Banquo and Vittoria
